New Stamp Release

Sneak Peek Day 2
On my card I created the background using the words "Winter Wonderland" and then stamped the snowflakes. I stamped the penguins using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored in the penguins using markers. I added a bit of blue to the swirls and the small snowflakes.
Don't forget to stop by the Sherrod Studio blog tomorrow to check out both sets and enter to win a free stamp set.

Mini Totes
My church's young women group were making scripture totes last month. The totes were made out of placemats and ribbons for handles. I helped the girls make theirs but I didn't get to finish my children's so we took it home. The placemat kept sitting around for a while. Finally this weekend, I got tired of looking at them so I sat down and made the totes. I don't like unfinished seems so I lined both bags and on one of them I used the same fabric to make the handles. These bags are fairly simple to make. You can whip one up in no time.
Student Bags
Our church were putting together hygiene kits and student kits to send to Samoa and one of the things needed were bags to be made so the school supplies could be placed into it. I had a ton of fabrics so I donated them to make these bags below. I made 12 total and a lady in our church made 3. We didn't have enough time at church so I did it at home. These bags are super easy to make. I had alot of fun putting them together. It helps to have a serger to finish the raw edges. It gives it a nice finished look since the instructions did not call for a lining.
I have a bunch more stuff to share from all that I've been doing these past few days. It was really nice to be able to do a variety of things that I love.

Tuesday Throwdown SSTT05
This week over on the Sherrod Studio blog we are having a sketch challenge using the sketch below. I have been wanting to make a shaker card for a while so this sketch is perfect to use. I stamped the tree from the Christmas Greetings set 3 times without re-inking to give some dimension. I used glitter for the shaker part. I ran the blue cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder and the white cardstock using the snowflakes folder. I bought the snowman button at Joann's a couple of years ago and so since it's a snow theme, I thought I would add that on top of the bow. I added the sentiment from the Tropical Christmas set. I bent the sentiment a bit to follow the dsp.
Come play along with us. Check out the awesome artwork the DT has created for your inspiration. Upload your artwork to your blog or online gallery using the keyword sstt05 or use Mr. Linky on the Sherrod Studio blog so we can see what you created using our sketch.

Tuesday Throwdown #4
Time for Sherrod Studio's Tuesday Throwdown. This week it's a sketch challenge. I used the row of pumpkins from the Harvest Blessings stamp set and stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in using CTMH's Autumn Terracotta coloring marker. I then cut out the large pumpkin and adhered it using 3D foam tape. I rounded the right side of the card using Marvy Uchida's corner punch. On the scallopped border I used a Martha Stewart punch and tied it together with CTMH's Sunflower organdy ribbon.
Head on over to the Sherrod Studio blog to play along with us. You can upload to your blog or online gallery using the keyword: sstto4.
